Weekly Stitching

Another week down, another project row done! I left off on Night Wish with just that pesky moon to go:
NightWish035
And after almost an entire skein of thread, I finally finished it, with a total of 131.2 hrs:
NightWish038

Despite all my better judgement, I moved on to the next project, Christmas Contest Suteki. I left off on her back in June:
suteki032
And despite working on her non-stop since Friday night, I only made it here:
Suteki035
It's one of the reasons why I hate this project so much...I work and work on it and barely get anywhere. I have the feeling I won't finish the row by the end of the year. If it wasn't going to be the perfect gift for my Sister, I would chuck it.

I finally got all my Charmed DVDs in to and the theme song is different than the Netflix version. I seriously HATE it when a brilliant 80's song gets butchered, but when you are talking the level of The Smiths, it's downright blasphemous! Luckily I have to fast-forward through the opening sequences anyway because of the seizure factor. That song has always been the song that defined my teenage angst (as I'm sure it did most people's) and to hear it get revamped into a 90's Disney Radio version is almost heartbreaking. Thankfully, we still have YouTube for those lovely reminders of said teenage angst, angst I'm not entirely sure I've grown out of yet.

Well done on your row finish, and nice progress on Suteki too! It might be a close call finishing this row, depending on how much other stuff you have to do before the end of the year, but if you don't make it at least you can start of the new year with a row finish as well!
They both look awesome!! But Suteki looks like confetti hell so I can see why you don't see progress as quick on it. But it will be worth it in the end. And I love that song. I had forgotten that it was the Charmed theme.
Sutecki is total confetti hell! Maybe you could do half pages so you get a solid block more often?

The song I have on a loop is Jefferson Airplane White Rabbit. They played it at a funeral we went to (a man who used to work in our bar for us) and it just hit me in the feels as they say!

Awesome progress and they both look great Keiley. Is it just me or is the first design both the same picture?

Woohoo! Great row finish and that is a ton of progress on Suteki, I always see confetti hell when I look at that one, but it's so gorgeous at the same time.

Just keep plodding with Suteki, you'll get there! Is this the last row finish of the year?

Happy 13th Blogoversary to the worst blogger ever!

Yep, I'm still here. This is the first time I've touched any blog in months. My focus has been in the "me" world. I have a new therapist and it's still early days, but I'm doing much better both mentally and physically. Work always sucks, so that's already a dead horse. And both pups are still hangin in there. My last post was probably the last time I stitched or at least my last Instragram post was. Maleficent still isn't framed, she's still in her ziploc baggie on the kitchen table. Bad me all around. I'm getting worse at this whole social media thing, what little I do. My job is tech burnout, so by the time I get home, the only tech I touch is my TV. The thought of creating a blog post or human communication in any way is just too much. I do have two vacations coming up, so that's exciting, right? I haven't felt like sharing, so very few people around me know about these. The first is a birthday trip to Boulder, j...

A to Z Challenge - B

PART 1 - JANE AUSTEN ALPHABET-COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BRANDON A much better hero than Edward Ferrars in my opinion PART 2 - MY DISNEY COLLECTION-BOOKS Obviously the age limit on books means very little to me: Do magazines count as books? Well, they are on the book row and they are Disney related, so there you go! There are several more shelves of these and they get more movement than anything else because their weight tends to kill bookshelves rather quickly. It helps to shuffle them around upon occasion to give the poor shelves a breather.

A to Z Reflections Post

I'm going to try not to be as wordy as previous years (but no promises). I did two challenges this year, my Jane Austen Alphabet Cross Stitch project, which is now complete: I haven't gotten it framed yet...heck, I still haven't gotten last year's framed either, so there is no telling when it will get done. Thanks to my friend Tiff for her suggestion of the blue fabric over the brown...she made the right choice I think! There is really nothing more to add on my second challenge, My Disney Collection, other than I have realized that my OCD apparently isn't strong enough to focus me in one particular direction. I like to think I have a Duck Room and a Princess/Villains room, but it's more like a Duck/Stitch/Parks room, a Mickey Bathroom, a Disney-themed kitchen, a living room filled with various objects, and a Princess and Villains bedroom. I don't think as a whole, they look so bad, it just looked a bit hoarderish when I divided them up into categori...
