Weekly Stitching

Weekly Stitching...the first time I've used that post title for a very long time and it feels good! Last week I had just started on Stitch:
Stitch048
I didn't finish him, but I did finish the second page of the row:
Stitch053
I'm not sure how much I'll get done next week since I'm pulling double duty again at work next week (I hate holidays), but I fully intend to spend all Thanksgiving day trying to get caught up stitching for the week.

I had to redo my hair Friday night...apparently the shelf life of the hair color is two weeks. The blonder areas were still purple, but the rest had faded. Funnily enough, it faded in a way that looked like I had my hair highlighted purple and it was pretty cool, it just wasn't purple enough. This time I went a bit higher and only left the crown my natural color but I kind of wish I had done my entire head. It's a definite in the next two weeks. I figured I would be too insecure having purple hair, but I've really enjoyed it!

I'm beginning to think that my meds are already not working anymore though. I had a horrible work week and my mood is getting dark again. I even called the therapist's office but she's out until after Thanksgiving. Typical. I still sound happy and perky but everyone is getting on my last nerve and I'm constantly bored even when I'm way too busy. I did a lot of yelling last week. I keep expecting every week to get better, but it never seems to or, if it does, the next week is even worse. Why do I even bother with hope in the first place? It's never been kind to me. If only I could be a pessimist...it would so suit me better. But until then, here's hoping next week is better.

Love seeing Stitch, that looks so good! Glad your hair faded well and hope it continues. Mood wise, I hope the holiday break helps.

Wow, I do love that design & you've made terrific progress!!!
Glad you're going to go ahead with the purple hair, it really suits you.
Don't worry to much about your mood, believe me, work can get anyone's mood down sometimes!
Just keep taking your medicines, don't mess it up, I'm sure your body will adjust soon.

That is great progress and I'm so happy to see you stitching again.

Have fun with the hair colour! Sounds like purple is the right one for you.

Excellent progress, glad to hear you are stitching again!
I do hope you can get something sorted out with your low mood.
Wow, that is fantastic progress on Stitch. Glad the hair is working out well too.
Not so good about the meds though, maybe not quite the right mix or dose? Maybe you need a little extra when work is particularly bad? Do the darker afternoons affect you at all? Daylight does make a difference to moods and seratonin levels.

Gorgeous progress! I hope work calms down soon. Are you allowed to have headphones in? Maybe listening to some Duran Duran will help the stress of the day.

Happy 13th Blogoversary to the worst blogger ever!

Yep, I'm still here. This is the first time I've touched any blog in months. My focus has been in the "me" world. I have a new therapist and it's still early days, but I'm doing much better both mentally and physically. Work always sucks, so that's already a dead horse. And both pups are still hangin in there. My last post was probably the last time I stitched or at least my last Instragram post was. Maleficent still isn't framed, she's still in her ziploc baggie on the kitchen table. Bad me all around. I'm getting worse at this whole social media thing, what little I do. My job is tech burnout, so by the time I get home, the only tech I touch is my TV. The thought of creating a blog post or human communication in any way is just too much. I do have two vacations coming up, so that's exciting, right? I haven't felt like sharing, so very few people around me know about these. The first is a birthday trip to Boulder, j...

A to Z Challenge - B

PART 1 - JANE AUSTEN ALPHABET-COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BRANDON A much better hero than Edward Ferrars in my opinion PART 2 - MY DISNEY COLLECTION-BOOKS Obviously the age limit on books means very little to me: Do magazines count as books? Well, they are on the book row and they are Disney related, so there you go! There are several more shelves of these and they get more movement than anything else because their weight tends to kill bookshelves rather quickly. It helps to shuffle them around upon occasion to give the poor shelves a breather.

A to Z Reflections Post

I'm going to try not to be as wordy as previous years (but no promises). I did two challenges this year, my Jane Austen Alphabet Cross Stitch project, which is now complete: I haven't gotten it framed yet...heck, I still haven't gotten last year's framed either, so there is no telling when it will get done. Thanks to my friend Tiff for her suggestion of the blue fabric over the brown...she made the right choice I think! There is really nothing more to add on my second challenge, My Disney Collection, other than I have realized that my OCD apparently isn't strong enough to focus me in one particular direction. I like to think I have a Duck Room and a Princess/Villains room, but it's more like a Duck/Stitch/Parks room, a Mickey Bathroom, a Disney-themed kitchen, a living room filled with various objects, and a Princess and Villains bedroom. I don't think as a whole, they look so bad, it just looked a bit hoarderish when I divided them up into categori...
