Day 7 Highlights - Part 1: Back to Epcot & MK
Another rainy day in the parks for Day 7, but not nearly as bad as the day before (although it was horribly humid):
The scallop and spinach from the Scotland booth was SOOO much better than the vegetarian Haggis they had last year!
Although the crabless crab cake from the Terra booth wasn't all that great, the tofu chocolate cupcake was surprisingly good (honesty moment - I actually dropped it on the ground, but it cost so much, I picked it up and ate it anyway...30 second rule afterall, besides, this picture was taken AFTER I dropped it and it still retained its shape, that worried me more):
It started pouring again by the time I got to China:
But I had already been rained on so much, I kind of didn't care by that point, my clothes were soaked through and through. I did get to ride Maelstrom for one final time before it gets Frozen-ized sometime this year:
By the time I got over to the Magic Kingdom, the rain had stopped and the sky had even cleared:
RIP old hub...I'm so curious to see what it is going to look like when they get it all finished:
For some reason I accidentally bumped a setting in the camera and got black and white pictures for a while, but they did turn out pretty cool:
and some kind of weird pink filter on this one...of course it would be pink, my LEAST favorite color on the planet:
the sky was really pretty above Journey of the Little Mermaid:
and I played with the zoom again on the inside:
Stroller hell - those things ruin the best views:
The Seven Dwarfs cottage was looking kind of abandoned, but I would totally live there (although I would have to mow the yard first)!:
Paddle wheel in action on the Liberty Belle:
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad against a blue sky:
and the same for the Haunted Mansion:
Pecos Bill's was so crowded I had to eat my (fifth) Taco Salad outside in the blaring sun, but it didn't hinder me any:
Chickapin Hill at Splash Mountain was looking dapper as well...good day for mountain ranges in the Magic Kingdom!
Splash is one of my favorite rides to take pictures on (even if it drives my Sister mad):
I never got the purpose of holding up your hands on a drop ride, well, other than ruining other people's pictures:
Briar Rabbit always makes it home to that 'thar briar patch:
I had the absolute perfect spot for the parade this day, and I wasn't about to give it up (and thankfully the weather cooperated this time):
no need to zoom...they were literally right on top of me!
I was too busy looking at Olaf to notice Anna was waving at me (or the old Asian couple beside me, not sure which!):
Flynn swinging above me:
Did a Lost Boy fart? That sure looks like a "fart in public" face to me!
Glad to see the Tic-tock Croc stuck around for this parade as well:
The absolute coolest part of the parade...Maleficent as the Dragon:
DWARFS!
There was so much going on this float, I didn't know where to begin!
the DUCK!
Hi Dale:
I had to exit the park to re-enter for the Halloween Party, so let's end Part 1 here:
