Day 6 Highlights - Epcot & F&W
I started day 6 off taking pictures of the art scattered around Animal Kingdom Lodge's lobby:
I was scared to walk on the gold plates in the floor, there is just something wrong with walking on art:
Another glorious overcast, rainy day awaited me at Epcot...this would be the worst rainy day of them all:
Not a fan of the new paint scheme in Future World...despite my penchant for 80's music, I definitely don't care for 80's colors, besides, do they really want to make Epcot MORE dated?:
I got to sit at the front of the boat on Living with the Land and it offered interesting views, least of which my swollen feet (at least they waited until almost the end of the trip to start swelling rather than from day one!):
I did have unobstructed views though:
what possible purpose could a monkey puzzle tree serve?
LOVE me some Figment!
Upside down fountain and overcast sky:
Still my favorite Food & Wine appetizer, Fried Cheese from the Greece booth:
Ducks enjoying the rain on World Showcase Lagoon:
Mary Poppins and Alice getting drenched:
Still a torrential downpour by the time I got to France:
But a good opportunity to get another macaroon at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie:
Take it back...the cheese bread from Brazil was my new favorite appetizer from F&W:
Still flooding at Morocco:
through Japan and all the way to the American Adventure:
I had had enough of the rain and stopped inside and got the rare opportunity to catch Voices of Liberty...I always miss them for some reason:
and walked around the exhibits:
It was hard to get a good pics of the flags because I was being cattle-herded, but here is the best:
It was still pouring after the 45 minute show:
All the way to Italy. It did let up a bit at the Oupost, but China, Norway, and Mexico was bad and by the time I got to the Odyssey to the Craft Beers station, it was horrible!
I had never been in there...the Odyssey Restaurant was closed years before my first Epcot trip, so it was cool to go inside:
The continuation of the paint scheme in Future World:
The rain finally let up on my way to the Festival Center:
Hidden Keebles at the Universe of Energy:
Caught a rainbow on my way back to Mexico for dinner:
And got some good night shots on my way out:
Day 7 is back to Epcot.
