I Stitched!

I took me a while (and quite a few Xanax to get my hands to quit shaking enough to work), but I finally started stitching again and I've barely stopped since! I left off on Alice and the B's:

And, although some of the work was done before I went "inside", here's where Cindy is now:

Right now, I'm still not ready to put them down and work on something else...I need the familiarity right now. I'm not stitching very fast, but I'm also not having any focus issues, which surprises me.

Tomorrow, I have to go back to work. It's why I'm stopping stitching earlier than normal because the fear is getting too great and my hands are shaking too bad again to stitch effectively. I can't thank you guys enough for all your support! It never ceases to amaze me how great all you guys are!

Unfortunately, I doubt I can say the same thing for my co-workers and I figure there will be a lot of judgement on me tomorrow. Normally, I could care less what those people think of me so I'm not sure why I care now, it's probably because I'm just too open and vulnerable to almost every little thing. To be honest, I'm not sure how many people at work actually know what happened to me and, the ones that do know, don't know the whole story. Once my Asper mouth gets running though, I probably won't be able to shut up about it.

I managed to go into work Saturday when no one was there and got somewhat caught up. Once I stepped out of the house, I practically ran to the car because my neighbors were all out roaming around. I tried to go to Sonic and get a soda, but I couldn't even go through the drive thru, so I failed that mission, but once I got to the lab, it was easy to get in the building because it's across the street from a busy hospital and people were EVERYWHERE. When I was inside, it was easy to get to my office, but I couldn't close the door to my office. That is going to be a problem. I had planned on spending my "real" work week locked in my office. I can't do that if I can't close the door. I am literally going to be a fishbowl. But then again, maybe it's just a people thing...I seem to run like a chicken when I see people, so maybe, come tomorrow, I'll be locking that door the moment I step through it. Here's hoping! And here's hoping that everyone will be terrified of the "crazy" and leave me alone! Stay tuned.

Well done on picking up a needle again. I wish you well when you go back to work, hope it's not as bad as you think it will be.
Happy stitching!!!

You've made great progress! I'm so glad you were able to stitch.
Don't worry about work, I'm sure your colleague will understand. It was a good idea to go there beforehand to familiarise again with your working surroundings. Fingers crossed it goes well for you!
So happy that you were able to stitch again and even more happy that you enjoyed it! I am sure you won't see this until you are home today but I hope you have a great day at work today!

Awesome work on the stitching!
Fantastic idea to go to work at the weekend to try it out. Could you switch to evening shifts permanently? Be great if you could.
Maybe you can get one sympathetic co-worker on board and use them to deflect all the others?
Anyway you're probably there now while I type this so hope it's going well.

Glad you were able to start stitching again, it is a good step in the right direction. It was probably a smart idea to go in on Saturday so you could get into the place alone and it won't be so over whelming on your first day back. Speaking of first days back - I hope today went smoothly for you and you didn't pay attention to the gossipers.

Yay for stitching, great progress!
Now that it's Friday, I hope you had a good work week and things are better for you.
I'm glad you got to stitch! I hope going back to work for you worked out okay, but what ever happens, at least you have your stitchy-happy place to seek refuge in in the evenings.

Happy 13th Blogoversary to the worst blogger ever!

Yep, I'm still here. This is the first time I've touched any blog in months. My focus has been in the "me" world. I have a new therapist and it's still early days, but I'm doing much better both mentally and physically. Work always sucks, so that's already a dead horse. And both pups are still hangin in there. My last post was probably the last time I stitched or at least my last Instragram post was. Maleficent still isn't framed, she's still in her ziploc baggie on the kitchen table. Bad me all around. I'm getting worse at this whole social media thing, what little I do. My job is tech burnout, so by the time I get home, the only tech I touch is my TV. The thought of creating a blog post or human communication in any way is just too much. I do have two vacations coming up, so that's exciting, right? I haven't felt like sharing, so very few people around me know about these. The first is a birthday trip to Boulder, j...

A to Z Challenge - B

PART 1 - JANE AUSTEN ALPHABET-COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BRANDON A much better hero than Edward Ferrars in my opinion PART 2 - MY DISNEY COLLECTION-BOOKS Obviously the age limit on books means very little to me: Do magazines count as books? Well, they are on the book row and they are Disney related, so there you go! There are several more shelves of these and they get more movement than anything else because their weight tends to kill bookshelves rather quickly. It helps to shuffle them around upon occasion to give the poor shelves a breather.

A to Z Reflections Post

I'm going to try not to be as wordy as previous years (but no promises). I did two challenges this year, my Jane Austen Alphabet Cross Stitch project, which is now complete: I haven't gotten it framed yet...heck, I still haven't gotten last year's framed either, so there is no telling when it will get done. Thanks to my friend Tiff for her suggestion of the blue fabric over the brown...she made the right choice I think! There is really nothing more to add on my second challenge, My Disney Collection, other than I have realized that my OCD apparently isn't strong enough to focus me in one particular direction. I like to think I have a Duck Room and a Princess/Villains room, but it's more like a Duck/Stitch/Parks room, a Mickey Bathroom, a Disney-themed kitchen, a living room filled with various objects, and a Princess and Villains bedroom. I don't think as a whole, they look so bad, it just looked a bit hoarderish when I divided them up into categori...
