Weekly Stitching

I worked on my Sister's project this week, Suteki. I left off back here in March, just beginning on the second row:
suteki021
And considering how confetti-heavy it is, I made a fair amount of progress this week:
suteki028
I will say, for the first time in forever (damn, now I've got that bloody song in my head), I am actually enjoying working on this project. Maybe the first row was just sucky or maybe I'm just getting used to all the confetti or maybe because I want to finish it so I can give my Sister something instead of the other way around. I'm not real sure...I'm not sure of too much right now.

I should really switch over to Happy Haunts for the rest of the month, especially since I did nothing on it last month, but I'm still feeling pretty into Suteki, so I may continue on with her. Guess we'll see how I feel tomorrow. Duty rarely wins out over want with me.

It's still too early to determine if the Wellbutrin is working, but I am feeling a bit testy already and that's usually a bad sign. I'm going to hope it is because of the antibiotics for my gums interfering. I only have one of those left though, so I should know better within another week. Something sure as heck is interfering with my Zanaflex, because I am barely sleeping except for yesterday...I didn't manage to wake up until 4 pm (although I didn't go to sleep Friday night, or Saturday morning I should say, until 4 am). That really affected my stitching time yesterday. I could have done way better with two full days instead of one. Maybe that's why I want another week with her.

Wow Keiley. Awesome progress. Hope the meds help soon. I actually managed to do 3388 stitches in Mad Hatter this week.

Great progress!!!
I think you should keep working on that one until the row is done.
Your sister is going to love it.
Super progress!!! And I hope you get feeling better soon!

Excellent progress, especially considering the sleep deprivation and rebound. I hope things are more settled for you after another week and we'll see which one needs to be worked on more then.

It does look like a very confetti heavy project so it's great progress! I hope they find some meds that work for you soon
I think that's some pretty amazing progress. I had to go check out on the HAED website what the finished piece will look like. It's going to be pretty fantastic when you're done. Oh, and is that a Captain America needle minder? Because I love Cap. Hope when you're done with the antibiotics that you feel better. I continue to send positive thoughts your way every day. --Andrea

Awesome progress! I hope you decide to to stick with her for now.
Sorry to read about your continuing medication issues. I hope you can achieve some balance soon.
This is looking amazing! I love the colours in this one.

Happy 13th Blogoversary to the worst blogger ever!

Yep, I'm still here. This is the first time I've touched any blog in months. My focus has been in the "me" world. I have a new therapist and it's still early days, but I'm doing much better both mentally and physically. Work always sucks, so that's already a dead horse. And both pups are still hangin in there. My last post was probably the last time I stitched or at least my last Instragram post was. Maleficent still isn't framed, she's still in her ziploc baggie on the kitchen table. Bad me all around. I'm getting worse at this whole social media thing, what little I do. My job is tech burnout, so by the time I get home, the only tech I touch is my TV. The thought of creating a blog post or human communication in any way is just too much. I do have two vacations coming up, so that's exciting, right? I haven't felt like sharing, so very few people around me know about these. The first is a birthday trip to Boulder, j...

A to Z Challenge - B

PART 1 - JANE AUSTEN ALPHABET-COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BRANDON A much better hero than Edward Ferrars in my opinion PART 2 - MY DISNEY COLLECTION-BOOKS Obviously the age limit on books means very little to me: Do magazines count as books? Well, they are on the book row and they are Disney related, so there you go! There are several more shelves of these and they get more movement than anything else because their weight tends to kill bookshelves rather quickly. It helps to shuffle them around upon occasion to give the poor shelves a breather.

A to Z Reflections Post

I'm going to try not to be as wordy as previous years (but no promises). I did two challenges this year, my Jane Austen Alphabet Cross Stitch project, which is now complete: I haven't gotten it framed yet...heck, I still haven't gotten last year's framed either, so there is no telling when it will get done. Thanks to my friend Tiff for her suggestion of the blue fabric over the brown...she made the right choice I think! There is really nothing more to add on my second challenge, My Disney Collection, other than I have realized that my OCD apparently isn't strong enough to focus me in one particular direction. I like to think I have a Duck Room and a Princess/Villains room, but it's more like a Duck/Stitch/Parks room, a Mickey Bathroom, a Disney-themed kitchen, a living room filled with various objects, and a Princess and Villains bedroom. I don't think as a whole, they look so bad, it just looked a bit hoarderish when I divided them up into categori...
