April A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal

First off, for those that have no clue what the April A to Z Challenge is, you should definitely check it out here and sign up! It's great fun (or a semi-maniacal exhaust fest, depending on who you ask), and I find a lot of great new bloggers every year. I am always amazed at the wide variety of topics and even how varied the similar topics can be (and who can forget the year when there were at least 10 bloggers A to Z'ing hamsters...who knew there was so much to learn about hamsters?).

I've known the theme reveal day was coming up, but I'm still not prepared for it because I'm only 100% sure of one part of my blog challenge. For the past couple of years, I've done two challenges - a random theme and a Disney theme and I'm still wavering on the Disney theme for this year. About the only thing I know for sure is that I will be doing the FanGirl Stitches Jane Austen Alphabet and I WILL NOT be doing two stitch challenges...it's just too much!

As always, my previous challenges have their own page here and good luck to everyone who is participating! Also, this is my fifth year to do the challenge, so happy fifth challenge anniversary to me! Let's just hope I decide on a Disney theme BEFORE April 1st. I would say that I am skipping the Disney theme this year, but I've tried that before and it didn't work...darn Disney withdrawal symptoms!

I've participated in A to Z challenge before - I'm not so sure about this year. The Jane Austin alfabet is very tempting though... 😍
Evalina, This and that...

Happy 5th anniversary! It's my first year and I have lots to learn but I'm excited. I love the Jane Austen theme. I'm going to take a look at your other sites too.

The Austen alphabet should work wonderfully.
Hmmm lots of ideas. Despite the craziness at the moment I signed up to participate... I loved it last year but I'm not sure how well I'll do this year as I am barely posting weekly at the moment.

I'll be down at Disney before the challenge begins. I always thought it would be amusing to compare/contrast the different ways the amusement parks handle lines. Some are boring, some are cooler than the rides themselves. I just wish they'd put in moving walk ways so you could ride to the ride.

Well, always good to know you still have a choice! Jane Austen letters look great! Good luck.

Welcome back to the challenge! It's my 5th years too! :) And good luck with deciding the theme! I love Disney themes :) Cheers!

The Jane Austen design is lovely!
How about matching a Disney character to each character in the sampler? By personality?

Or like Tamara hinted at, an A-Z of the rides rather than the characters or films?

Happy 13th Blogoversary to the worst blogger ever!

Yep, I'm still here. This is the first time I've touched any blog in months. My focus has been in the "me" world. I have a new therapist and it's still early days, but I'm doing much better both mentally and physically. Work always sucks, so that's already a dead horse. And both pups are still hangin in there. My last post was probably the last time I stitched or at least my last Instragram post was. Maleficent still isn't framed, she's still in her ziploc baggie on the kitchen table. Bad me all around. I'm getting worse at this whole social media thing, what little I do. My job is tech burnout, so by the time I get home, the only tech I touch is my TV. The thought of creating a blog post or human communication in any way is just too much. I do have two vacations coming up, so that's exciting, right? I haven't felt like sharing, so very few people around me know about these. The first is a birthday trip to Boulder, j...

PART 1 - JANE AUSTEN ALPHABET-COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BRANDON A much better hero than Edward Ferrars in my opinion PART 2 - MY DISNEY COLLECTION-BOOKS Obviously the age limit on books means very little to me: Do magazines count as books? Well, they are on the book row and they are Disney related, so there you go! There are several more shelves of these and they get more movement than anything else because their weight tends to kill bookshelves rather quickly. It helps to shuffle them around upon occasion to give the poor shelves a breather.

A to Z Reflections Post

I'm going to try not to be as wordy as previous years (but no promises). I did two challenges this year, my Jane Austen Alphabet Cross Stitch project, which is now complete: I haven't gotten it framed yet...heck, I still haven't gotten last year's framed either, so there is no telling when it will get done. Thanks to my friend Tiff for her suggestion of the blue fabric over the brown...she made the right choice I think! There is really nothing more to add on my second challenge, My Disney Collection, other than I have realized that my OCD apparently isn't strong enough to focus me in one particular direction. I like to think I have a Duck Room and a Princess/Villains room, but it's more like a Duck/Stitch/Parks room, a Mickey Bathroom, a Disney-themed kitchen, a living room filled with various objects, and a Princess and Villains bedroom. I don't think as a whole, they look so bad, it just looked a bit hoarderish when I divided them up into categori...
