Weekly Stitching

Another week down and still I've barely stitched, but I'm still trying. I left off here last week:
Stitch056
And I STILL haven't finished the row yet:
Stitch059
I really wanted to spend the entire weekend stitching, but I had my work Christmas Party Saturday night. Friday night I wasted trying to find an outfit and most all day Saturday was spent getting ready for the wasted time at the party. I did, however, get up and sing karaoke without being completely drunk (although I did wait until barely anybody was left so not too many people can attest to it). I'm just glad it's over with. Now if I can make it through a week of covering for a co-worker mid-December, then maybe I can finish this project before the end of the year!

Thanks to some amazing friends, I got RAK'ed some new HAED patterns this week, Frost Dragonling Max Colors by Jasmine Becket-Griffith:
Frost Dragonling MC_00a
and Mini Clockwork Dragonling by Jasmine Becket-Griffith:
Mini ClockWork Dragonling_00a
Overall, despite the heavy work week, it was the first one in a very long time that didn't suck because I had other things (and friends) to distract me! Thanks guys!

Nice to know your week was much better :)
Great progress on the stitching (I think you did a lot of progress!) and great new stash! The first one being my favourite out of the two.

I'm glad this week wasn't as bad as the others. You've done amazing progress yet again :)

Terrific additions to your stash! Dragons are always a very good thing. You are making good progress with your stitching even if it's not quite as much as you wanted.

Glad this week was better, and holy crap you sang Karaoke?? Wow. Good for you. I've done it once in my life, and alcohol and bridal showers were involved. What Duran Duran song was it? :)
You've made awesome progress to anyone else! Great new stash too.
Laughing at Tiff's comment. It had to be DD? I have never ever done karaoke. At my 40th I was dragged on stage with my friend's band but I just banged a tambourine really loudly instead!
Keebles! I finally got through all your archives and am sad I don't have any more to read :( I thoroughly enjoyed all your posts. Cross stitch and Disney in the same place!! Doesn't get much better than that.

I am so in love with this Lilo and Stitch chart! It is beyond sweet! I am really having a battle with myself to not buy it :)

Oh and I love the purple hair!! It suits you perfectly!

Gorgeous new patterns! I'll post mine from you tonight hopefully! I barely have had time to sit until today lol. I'm glad your party went pretty well! We had ours yesterday and played the funniest game of White Elephant I think I've ever had!

Happy 13th Blogoversary to the worst blogger ever!

Yep, I'm still here. This is the first time I've touched any blog in months. My focus has been in the "me" world. I have a new therapist and it's still early days, but I'm doing much better both mentally and physically. Work always sucks, so that's already a dead horse. And both pups are still hangin in there. My last post was probably the last time I stitched or at least my last Instragram post was. Maleficent still isn't framed, she's still in her ziploc baggie on the kitchen table. Bad me all around. I'm getting worse at this whole social media thing, what little I do. My job is tech burnout, so by the time I get home, the only tech I touch is my TV. The thought of creating a blog post or human communication in any way is just too much. I do have two vacations coming up, so that's exciting, right? I haven't felt like sharing, so very few people around me know about these. The first is a birthday trip to Boulder, j...

A to Z Challenge - B

PART 1 - JANE AUSTEN ALPHABET-COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BRANDON A much better hero than Edward Ferrars in my opinion PART 2 - MY DISNEY COLLECTION-BOOKS Obviously the age limit on books means very little to me: Do magazines count as books? Well, they are on the book row and they are Disney related, so there you go! There are several more shelves of these and they get more movement than anything else because their weight tends to kill bookshelves rather quickly. It helps to shuffle them around upon occasion to give the poor shelves a breather.

A to Z Reflections Post

I'm going to try not to be as wordy as previous years (but no promises). I did two challenges this year, my Jane Austen Alphabet Cross Stitch project, which is now complete: I haven't gotten it framed yet...heck, I still haven't gotten last year's framed either, so there is no telling when it will get done. Thanks to my friend Tiff for her suggestion of the blue fabric over the brown...she made the right choice I think! There is really nothing more to add on my second challenge, My Disney Collection, other than I have realized that my OCD apparently isn't strong enough to focus me in one particular direction. I like to think I have a Duck Room and a Princess/Villains room, but it's more like a Duck/Stitch/Parks room, a Mickey Bathroom, a Disney-themed kitchen, a living room filled with various objects, and a Princess and Villains bedroom. I don't think as a whole, they look so bad, it just looked a bit hoarderish when I divided them up into categori...
