Just One July - Week 4

Left off here last week:
Stitch031
FINALLY finished the row:
Stitch036
And barely got started on row three:
Stitch038
Considering the week I had, I'm surprised I got any stitching done because my focus is now completely gone. I just want to sit and zone out right now. My shrink appointment isn't until the 3rd and that seems like a lifetime away and then I'll have to wait however long it takes for whichever meds I end up with to work. At least there are five weeks in July, but I still don't think it's going to help me much to even sort-of reach my challenge goals on Lilo and Stitch. Great, looks like I'm a failure all the way across the board now.

Not a failure Keiley. Whether you like it or not, you cannot control everything and sometimes life heads off in its own direction. You made progress, that's what counts.

Not a failure! You have made progress! Sometimes we all need to take a break and zone!

Just look at what you've achieved - so much progress on this beautiful design. It's a hobby so please try to enjoy what you've done and the process of stitching. Thinking of you.

Finishing this would be astronomical, and getting through that row of confetti is very impressive. I'll keep hoping somehow things will get better for you.

I cant believe how much you have stitched, i was trying to work out how many stitches you had done per hours and i couldnt it worked out at thousands, lol! I think it looks great and you arent a failure you just have high expectations of yourself, you have achieved a lot in the month :)

Never, ever say you are a failure!!
Are you crazy??
You should be proud of yourself, you're a lovely lady and a very talented stitcher.
Look at the progress you've made again on this beautiful design!!
I am so jealous ;)
That kind of progress is a long way off being a failure! Lilo and Stitch look amazing.

Did I ever tell you my Duran Duran joke? Stop me if you've heard it before.

The boys are on tour with their tour manager Arthur. Arthur goes off to get some food for them before the gig. He brings back a strange item and Simon asks what it is. "It's a prickly pear, Simon. It has to be shaved of the prickles before you eat it, would you like me to do that now?" asks Arthur.

(Can you see where this is going?)

Simon says "Don't shave a pear for me now, shave in the morning, Arthur".

Hope it made you smile, or groan!

It's harder to stitch when you're not I the right mindset. For me, my stitching is usually the first to suffer. It looks beautiful so far! Good luck with everything!

Happy 13th Blogoversary to the worst blogger ever!

Yep, I'm still here. This is the first time I've touched any blog in months. My focus has been in the "me" world. I have a new therapist and it's still early days, but I'm doing much better both mentally and physically. Work always sucks, so that's already a dead horse. And both pups are still hangin in there. My last post was probably the last time I stitched or at least my last Instragram post was. Maleficent still isn't framed, she's still in her ziploc baggie on the kitchen table. Bad me all around. I'm getting worse at this whole social media thing, what little I do. My job is tech burnout, so by the time I get home, the only tech I touch is my TV. The thought of creating a blog post or human communication in any way is just too much. I do have two vacations coming up, so that's exciting, right? I haven't felt like sharing, so very few people around me know about these. The first is a birthday trip to Boulder, j...

A to Z Challenge - B

PART 1 - JANE AUSTEN ALPHABET-COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BRANDON A much better hero than Edward Ferrars in my opinion PART 2 - MY DISNEY COLLECTION-BOOKS Obviously the age limit on books means very little to me: Do magazines count as books? Well, they are on the book row and they are Disney related, so there you go! There are several more shelves of these and they get more movement than anything else because their weight tends to kill bookshelves rather quickly. It helps to shuffle them around upon occasion to give the poor shelves a breather.

A to Z Reflections Post

I'm going to try not to be as wordy as previous years (but no promises). I did two challenges this year, my Jane Austen Alphabet Cross Stitch project, which is now complete: I haven't gotten it framed yet...heck, I still haven't gotten last year's framed either, so there is no telling when it will get done. Thanks to my friend Tiff for her suggestion of the blue fabric over the brown...she made the right choice I think! There is really nothing more to add on my second challenge, My Disney Collection, other than I have realized that my OCD apparently isn't strong enough to focus me in one particular direction. I like to think I have a Duck Room and a Princess/Villains room, but it's more like a Duck/Stitch/Parks room, a Mickey Bathroom, a Disney-themed kitchen, a living room filled with various objects, and a Princess and Villains bedroom. I don't think as a whole, they look so bad, it just looked a bit hoarderish when I divided them up into categori...
