Disneyland in Pictures - Day 6 Part 3

I wanted to at least catch the last show of Mickey and the Magical Map, since we don't have that at Disney World, and despite our personal difficulties that almost kept us from getting to the show on time, we did manage it and it turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip.
2015-4552
2015-4559
2015-4579
Once Stitch came out, I got all fan-girly and giddy and I was happy to see the audience respond well.
2015-4601
2015-4614
I really wish we could have done this earlier in the trip so that I could have seen it more than once.
2015-4624
We walked around a bit more:
2015-4625
And we watched the dancing at Fantasy Faire:
2015-4628
We went in search of the Halloween Tree, but the crowds made it impossible to get a good pic:
2015-4630
And rode Pirates yet again although it was touch and go at first because the ride kept breaking down:
2015-4649
At least the Fantasmic lines were easier to navigate through and was was much happier with its dining package than WOC. We managed to get a fairly good spot:
2015-4662
Although the lighting glares were strong, Disneyland's Fantasmic blows Disney World's completely out of the water! We have to live with a stupid Pocahontas scene, you guys get Peter and Hook fighting on a ship!
2015-4682
And although they didn't turn out great, I finally managed to capture the Princess floats, something I still haven't done properly at WDW:
2015-4691
2015-4694
Our dragon is a joke compared to DL's:
2015-4708
2015-4720
Afterwards, we were "invited" to keep our places and watch the fireworks, so we did (the crowds were so horrible, we couldn't have moved anyway). They did the castle projects on the water for us, so it was like standing in front of the castle (without the castle):
2015-4731
2015-4749
2015-4838
Of course there was yet another overly-long Frozen scene:
2015-5147
Which included soap snow:
2015-5155
And still more Frozen:
2015-5197
Once Fantasmic and the fireworks were over with, it was a massive struggle getting back into people traffic. I kept this one as a reminder even though it's not very good.
2015-5427
The whole week I was hoping I had given Haunted Mansion Holiday a bum chance, so I wanted to ride it one final time before we left. We had to switch hotels before midnight and it was after 10 pm at that point, but I was determined. Something happened between us (and I’m still not sure what it was) but, needless to say, he went back to the Grand Cali to wait and I stayed in line for HM.
2015-5434
2015-5443
And managed a few OK shots on the ride:
2015-5455
2015-5459
2015-5458
When it was all said and done, I decided I still don't like the overlay, but it was nice to enjoy it alone, actually enjoying anything by myself for the first time the entire trip. As much as I wanted to stay in the parks for a while by myself, it was time to switch hotels, so back to the Grand Cali I went. It was awful and awkward, but we managed to get a taxi and get over to the other place, the Fairfield Inn on Harbor. It was OK, but obviously NOT a Disney resort.
2015-5478
2015-5479
Because we got there so late, the two bed queen I booked was no longer available and we had to take a king bed and a sofa. Even though the change was a deluxe room I hadn’t paid for, they upped us for free.
2015-5481
Do you want to know what the upgrade was? It was a "Pirate Room". Yeah...this is what a "Pirate Room" consisted of:
2015-5482
2015-5483
2015-5484
2015-5485
2015-5486
They could definitely take a lesson from Disney on what a "Pirate Room" really is:

(from the WDW Website)

After yet another argument as to who would get the bed or the sofa, I crashed for the night because Day 7 means home!

I have so enjoyed seeing all of your pictures of Disneyland Keiley. They bring back such fun memories. There have been quite a few changes since I was last there for 1 day in 2001. I have never been to the other park. Thank you for the smiles.

Happy 13th Blogoversary to the worst blogger ever!

Yep, I'm still here. This is the first time I've touched any blog in months. My focus has been in the "me" world. I have a new therapist and it's still early days, but I'm doing much better both mentally and physically. Work always sucks, so that's already a dead horse. And both pups are still hangin in there. My last post was probably the last time I stitched or at least my last Instragram post was. Maleficent still isn't framed, she's still in her ziploc baggie on the kitchen table. Bad me all around. I'm getting worse at this whole social media thing, what little I do. My job is tech burnout, so by the time I get home, the only tech I touch is my TV. The thought of creating a blog post or human communication in any way is just too much. I do have two vacations coming up, so that's exciting, right? I haven't felt like sharing, so very few people around me know about these. The first is a birthday trip to Boulder, j...

A to Z Challenge - B

PART 1 - JANE AUSTEN ALPHABET-COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BRANDON A much better hero than Edward Ferrars in my opinion PART 2 - MY DISNEY COLLECTION-BOOKS Obviously the age limit on books means very little to me: Do magazines count as books? Well, they are on the book row and they are Disney related, so there you go! There are several more shelves of these and they get more movement than anything else because their weight tends to kill bookshelves rather quickly. It helps to shuffle them around upon occasion to give the poor shelves a breather.

A to Z Reflections Post

I'm going to try not to be as wordy as previous years (but no promises). I did two challenges this year, my Jane Austen Alphabet Cross Stitch project, which is now complete: I haven't gotten it framed yet...heck, I still haven't gotten last year's framed either, so there is no telling when it will get done. Thanks to my friend Tiff for her suggestion of the blue fabric over the brown...she made the right choice I think! There is really nothing more to add on my second challenge, My Disney Collection, other than I have realized that my OCD apparently isn't strong enough to focus me in one particular direction. I like to think I have a Duck Room and a Princess/Villains room, but it's more like a Duck/Stitch/Parks room, a Mickey Bathroom, a Disney-themed kitchen, a living room filled with various objects, and a Princess and Villains bedroom. I don't think as a whole, they look so bad, it just looked a bit hoarderish when I divided them up into categori...
