Disneyland in Pictures - Day 4 Part 3

After a bum morning at DCA, I had the Halloween Party at Disneyland to look forward to. Now, I am a seasoned vet to the Halloween Party at Disney World and I had already prepared myself for the fact that Disneyland's pales in comparison. It definitely WASN'T Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, but it had it's charm nonetheless. The decorations were pretty neat at least.
2015-2556
We headed back over to Pirates, for ride #3, and I was able to get better pictures (I think me and my camera were finally coming to an understanding):
2015-2559
2015-2569
But it doesn't matter which side of the country I'm on, I STILL can't get a good pic of Captain Jack:
2015-2585
We had dinner at the French Market in New Orleans Square, and again, it was pretty good for counter service. I had the French Dip:
2015-2588
I also managed to get my Haunted Mansion cup I had been drooling over:
2015-2590
And he had the Po Boy:
2015-2591
I couldn't wait to try the Haunted Mansion cake, and it was pretty good, the top was a solid sheet of white chocolate which I do love:
2015-2589
While the cake itself had a cookies and cream flavor. I don't typically eat Oreos, but I tend to like cookies and cream for some reason. They dusted it with powdered sugar, which gave it a gray appearance on the outside...it was pretty cool to look at and eat!
2015-2593
He just had a multi-chocolate cake (which, for some reason, cost way more than mine):
2015-2592
By the time we got Pooh out of the way, the sun was starting to set and the atmosphere got spooky:
2015-2608
2015-2610
2015-2623
We rode the Matterhorn next, one that I was really excited to ride since we don't have a Disney World counterpart, and I have never hurt so much in my life! I swear I almost busted a kidney on that stupid thing! I vowed never to go near it again, although I did get close enough to the popcorn cart to catch the Yeti in action:
2015-2633
By that point, it was full-on dark:
2015-2634
2015-2639
2015-2642
2015-2645
And parade time, so we snagged our place for Paint The Night:
2015-2678
2015-2685
2015-2690
2015-2701
2015-2734
2015-2743
2015-2752
2015-2760
Overall, it was an amazing parade, but I really missed Boo to You...I much prefer a Halloween parade during a Halloween Party. But then it was time for the Halloween Fireworks, and I do think I preferred them to Hallowishes. I literally have several hundred of these, so I'm only going to post one and I'm not sure if it's the best or not, I just picked one:
2015-3027
I wasn't ready for the night to end, so we wandered around a bit more:
2015-3493
2015-3510
2015-3504
2015-3513
And said a goodbye to the Halloween Party:
2015-3516
We wandered around Downtown for a bit, and I bought my very first Disney Candy Apple:
2015-3524
But someone was getting grumpy (not me) and it was time to call it a night.

You really outdid yourself with pictures! LOVE the ones with the lights and the parade.

Great pics! You should have ridden Matterhorn before the refurb lol back then it was bumpier and you had to sit in someone's lap/have someone in yours. I think it'd be fine if they added more oomph to the cushion. I agree with missing the boo to you parade but I'm wondering if they do a Halloween parade next year after the 60th stuff

Happy 13th Blogoversary to the worst blogger ever!

Yep, I'm still here. This is the first time I've touched any blog in months. My focus has been in the "me" world. I have a new therapist and it's still early days, but I'm doing much better both mentally and physically. Work always sucks, so that's already a dead horse. And both pups are still hangin in there. My last post was probably the last time I stitched or at least my last Instragram post was. Maleficent still isn't framed, she's still in her ziploc baggie on the kitchen table. Bad me all around. I'm getting worse at this whole social media thing, what little I do. My job is tech burnout, so by the time I get home, the only tech I touch is my TV. The thought of creating a blog post or human communication in any way is just too much. I do have two vacations coming up, so that's exciting, right? I haven't felt like sharing, so very few people around me know about these. The first is a birthday trip to Boulder, j...

A to Z Challenge - B

PART 1 - JANE AUSTEN ALPHABET-COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BRANDON A much better hero than Edward Ferrars in my opinion PART 2 - MY DISNEY COLLECTION-BOOKS Obviously the age limit on books means very little to me: Do magazines count as books? Well, they are on the book row and they are Disney related, so there you go! There are several more shelves of these and they get more movement than anything else because their weight tends to kill bookshelves rather quickly. It helps to shuffle them around upon occasion to give the poor shelves a breather.

A to Z Reflections Post

I'm going to try not to be as wordy as previous years (but no promises). I did two challenges this year, my Jane Austen Alphabet Cross Stitch project, which is now complete: I haven't gotten it framed yet...heck, I still haven't gotten last year's framed either, so there is no telling when it will get done. Thanks to my friend Tiff for her suggestion of the blue fabric over the brown...she made the right choice I think! There is really nothing more to add on my second challenge, My Disney Collection, other than I have realized that my OCD apparently isn't strong enough to focus me in one particular direction. I like to think I have a Duck Room and a Princess/Villains room, but it's more like a Duck/Stitch/Parks room, a Mickey Bathroom, a Disney-themed kitchen, a living room filled with various objects, and a Princess and Villains bedroom. I don't think as a whole, they look so bad, it just looked a bit hoarderish when I divided them up into categori...
