Disneyland in Pictures - Day 5 Part 1
Well, I really didn't intend on these posts stringing out this long, so I guess we're going another week without Bucket List Fridays. Oh well, we're getting close to done anyway.
Day 5 took us back to DCA. Again I found myself quickly bored and was just random shooting photos. I did really like this building at the backside of Buena Vista Street:
But I had one thing on the brain...a Red's Apple Freeze:
Since we didn't get to the park until almost lunch time (not my choice), we decided to have lunch at Cocina Cucamonga. Usually, it's impossible to screw up Mexican food for me, but the very rude order CM decided that no sour cream also meant no cheese...can you imagine Mexican food without cheese? Yeah, blaa. Plus, I had to wait a lifetime to get it.
And his:
Unsatiated and bored, we headed back over to Cars Land where I took out my frustrations by picture taking:
Just because I was over-picture taking, I happen to notice a rather rude-looking cactus:
I have the feeling a gardener is chuckling behind his bosses back. We walked back through Bug's Land backwards, and I noticed for the first time the characters in the brush:
I wanted to ride Monsters Inc, but by the time we got there the line was too long (that's what happens when you don't get to the parks until 11):
I was pissed off and bored, so we headed back to Downtown Disney. We stopped at Marceline's Confectionary and I got a couple of things, including a dark chocolate-covered pineapple.
This is normally one of my favorite things at Disney World, but this pineapple was half the size and tasted like it was a week old. I ended up not finishing it. I was hoping the red velvet cake pop I bought would be better:
But it was only prettier. It was, quite possibly, one of the worst cake pops I've ever had. He had some pigs in a blanket from Wetzels:
But I think Wetzel's Pretzels are nasty, so I didn't try one. After quite a few purchases, we headed back to DCA. I found this amazing Once Upon A Time display on Buena Vista Street, but the glare from the sun kept me from getting good pictures. I wanted to go back later, but forgot:
We headed back to Monsters Inc to see if the line was shorter, and it was:
Mater was heading over to his meet and greet:
And I decided I wanted another Red's Apple Freeze:
We rode Mater's Junkyard Jamboree and although the queue area is confusing and badly laid out, the ride is a lot more fun than it looks!
It was time for the Pixar Play Parade, but we ended up behind a bunch of people, so the view wasn't great:
But I still took quite a few pictures:
Once it was over, we had to book it to Carthay Circle for our dinner, but let's save that for part 2.
