Stitching

It wasn't a good week for stitching last week...I spent two days down with a headache and I've been stressing over our trip most of the rest of the week. I ended last week here:

And got to here this afternoon before I stopped:

I guess I can say at least I finished Aurora, but I washed out on the spinning wheel and decided to spend the afternoon studying for the trip instead. I think it's time to switch stitching projects again. If I thought I could finish the row by the end of the week, I'd keep on, but I just don't think I can because of all the confetti in that spinning wheel area.

Switching to trip planning didn't help motivate me either. I think the more I look at stuff for the trip, the more freaked out I get. If I could handle not being prepared, I'd just give up the goat and fly by the seat of my pants, but I'm not built that way. With all the problems that I've been having the past couple of weeks with this trip, I've decided that I will probably never go anywhere else than Disney World ever again because apparently I suck at trip planning. At least I know Disney World well enough and the planning is all part of the fun. I am really hoping Disneyland itself is extra magical, because it's been hell on earth getting ready for it!

Bam doesn't like it when I'm not stitching, especially when I'm working on the computer because he can't get under my "desk" (which is basically just a sheet of plywood):

Just goes to show that something so cute can still shoot knives from his eyes.

I'm also now really far behind on Disney movie posts thanks to my stupid head, so hopefully I'll be able to clear those up pretty fast. I should be completely finished by next weekend at the latest and I am SOOO glad! I never thought I'd miss regular TV, but I sure have been! I'd like to say that it will be a long while before I watch another Disney movie, but I know myself well enough to know better than that...give me a week and I'll probably be plopping Sleeping Beauty or The Avengers in again.

I love Disneyland so much better than world. It has more Disney freaks like us ;).

Yikes... not a good week. Aurora does look amazing though! Fingers crossed things are smoother this week and it's headache-free.
Great progress on your stitching, you've done loads!

I'm sure the trip will be fine. I hate the preparation. I actually have a recurring nightmare where I am packing a case with a deadline and I keep finding more and more things which have to go into the case!

Happy 13th Blogoversary to the worst blogger ever!

Yep, I'm still here. This is the first time I've touched any blog in months. My focus has been in the "me" world. I have a new therapist and it's still early days, but I'm doing much better both mentally and physically. Work always sucks, so that's already a dead horse. And both pups are still hangin in there. My last post was probably the last time I stitched or at least my last Instragram post was. Maleficent still isn't framed, she's still in her ziploc baggie on the kitchen table. Bad me all around. I'm getting worse at this whole social media thing, what little I do. My job is tech burnout, so by the time I get home, the only tech I touch is my TV. The thought of creating a blog post or human communication in any way is just too much. I do have two vacations coming up, so that's exciting, right? I haven't felt like sharing, so very few people around me know about these. The first is a birthday trip to Boulder, j...

A to Z Challenge - B

PART 1 - JANE AUSTEN ALPHABET-COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BRANDON A much better hero than Edward Ferrars in my opinion PART 2 - MY DISNEY COLLECTION-BOOKS Obviously the age limit on books means very little to me: Do magazines count as books? Well, they are on the book row and they are Disney related, so there you go! There are several more shelves of these and they get more movement than anything else because their weight tends to kill bookshelves rather quickly. It helps to shuffle them around upon occasion to give the poor shelves a breather.

A to Z Reflections Post

I'm going to try not to be as wordy as previous years (but no promises). I did two challenges this year, my Jane Austen Alphabet Cross Stitch project, which is now complete: I haven't gotten it framed yet...heck, I still haven't gotten last year's framed either, so there is no telling when it will get done. Thanks to my friend Tiff for her suggestion of the blue fabric over the brown...she made the right choice I think! There is really nothing more to add on my second challenge, My Disney Collection, other than I have realized that my OCD apparently isn't strong enough to focus me in one particular direction. I like to think I have a Duck Room and a Princess/Villains room, but it's more like a Duck/Stitch/Parks room, a Mickey Bathroom, a Disney-themed kitchen, a living room filled with various objects, and a Princess and Villains bedroom. I don't think as a whole, they look so bad, it just looked a bit hoarderish when I divided them up into categori...
