Diet troubles & IHSW

Yep, I had a really bad food week and gained almost half the weight back I lost. But back on track now, so hopefully results will appear once again. Always hopeful, but eternally realistic..that's me!

I am on the last stage of Epic Mickey!! I can't believe it (but then again, considering I've had 4 hours sleep all weekend, maybe it's not that far of a stretch). My Mother's destiny may be safe for now (see previous blog where I tell the tale of how I bargained her life that I wouldn't be getting a new PS2 until I finished Epic Mickey, but did anyway, her saving grace is the fact that it's backordered until 6-21). OCD is a powerful force...when I want something, I usually find a way to get it! In this case, I dipped into my Disney fund. Bad Keebs!). But I must get the final levels of the game finished THIS week because this weekend is...you guessed it....

Yeah!! I haven't been stitching (at all) due to Mickey's interference, so this might be what I need to get moving again.

Diets are a waste of time. Eat hearty and fuck well! That's my motto.

I like Tom's plan.

I started Weight Watchers online about two months ago, can't say enough good stuff about it.

Recently I was watching a program 'Weight of the nation' and learned that lack of sleep is one of the causes of obesity. I also learned that once person is overweight it will always have to watch calorie intake. If we have two people 150 lbs each but one of them in the past was 200 lbs and both of them have a meal of 2000 calories - the one who was always around 150 lbs will not gain weight but the one who lost weight is in danger... It sucks!
I write a journal of foods I'm eating and it helps. I'm counting my calories since I watched this program and so far I've lost 5 lbs.

Hey Keebs! Theres a party in you comments! Wahoo! Where was my invite? I am in a awkward pain in the ass kinda mood today, so how am I doing? :P
Is it really IHSW this weekend! I did nothing last time, I am terrible of late - this weekend though might be ok..who knows..who bloody knows :)
I think its time for a cuppa!

Grumpy ITGuy - Weight Watchers didn't work for me, but having said that, Livestrong.com, which is what the doctor has me on, is very similar in that it's a caloric based diet.

I think the well has dried up on the second part of Tom BadGuy's suggestion!

EvalinaMaria - yep...sleep has never been my friend! The program the doc has me on is basically like a food journal, you enter your body stats and it tells you how many calories, etc you can have a day and as you eat, you put in your food and once you get to your limits, you stop eating...I'm having a bit of a problem stopping!

My dearest Kate, who is never a pain, at least in my ass...can I have a cuppa of Extra Strong Tetley please? No sugar, no milk...just strong and straight!!

Happy 13th Blogoversary to the worst blogger ever!

Yep, I'm still here. This is the first time I've touched any blog in months. My focus has been in the "me" world. I have a new therapist and it's still early days, but I'm doing much better both mentally and physically. Work always sucks, so that's already a dead horse. And both pups are still hangin in there. My last post was probably the last time I stitched or at least my last Instragram post was. Maleficent still isn't framed, she's still in her ziploc baggie on the kitchen table. Bad me all around. I'm getting worse at this whole social media thing, what little I do. My job is tech burnout, so by the time I get home, the only tech I touch is my TV. The thought of creating a blog post or human communication in any way is just too much. I do have two vacations coming up, so that's exciting, right? I haven't felt like sharing, so very few people around me know about these. The first is a birthday trip to Boulder, j...

A to Z Challenge - B

PART 1 - JANE AUSTEN ALPHABET-COLONEL CHRISTOPHER BRANDON A much better hero than Edward Ferrars in my opinion PART 2 - MY DISNEY COLLECTION-BOOKS Obviously the age limit on books means very little to me: Do magazines count as books? Well, they are on the book row and they are Disney related, so there you go! There are several more shelves of these and they get more movement than anything else because their weight tends to kill bookshelves rather quickly. It helps to shuffle them around upon occasion to give the poor shelves a breather.

A to Z Reflections Post

I'm going to try not to be as wordy as previous years (but no promises). I did two challenges this year, my Jane Austen Alphabet Cross Stitch project, which is now complete: I haven't gotten it framed yet...heck, I still haven't gotten last year's framed either, so there is no telling when it will get done. Thanks to my friend Tiff for her suggestion of the blue fabric over the brown...she made the right choice I think! There is really nothing more to add on my second challenge, My Disney Collection, other than I have realized that my OCD apparently isn't strong enough to focus me in one particular direction. I like to think I have a Duck Room and a Princess/Villains room, but it's more like a Duck/Stitch/Parks room, a Mickey Bathroom, a Disney-themed kitchen, a living room filled with various objects, and a Princess and Villains bedroom. I don't think as a whole, they look so bad, it just looked a bit hoarderish when I divided them up into categori...
