Sunday Stitching

Thank goodness for three-day weekends, although I can't say I was very productive. I had so many tasks laid out for this weekend and somehow managed to avoid every single one of them other than stitching, including finishing rebuilding my laptop after replacing my hard drive. I used all the storms we had as an excuse not to work on my laptop, but as for all my other projects, I have no excuses other than pure laziness.

But, on the plus side, to say I managed a bit of stitching would be the understatement of the year! I'm pretty sure that with another three-day weekend next weekend, I'll be able to finish Rainy Wedding by the end of the year. I left off here last week:
rw018
Finished the top row on Thursday night:
rw021
And by tonight I made it here, almost done with page 6 (although it's going MUCH slower now because the confetti is heavier):
rw026
There is only a full page and a column left and I will be all done...or at least done with this part of the project. I still have to stitch their names and wedding date on a separate piece of fabric. I haven't decided what font or what kind of thread I want to use yet. Guess I need to do some serious thinking about this week too.

I'm kind of kicking myself for letting this project sit around for so long, I could have be finished last New Years...damn that hindsight! I'm hoping that if I manage to focus on it enough during this upcoming week, maybe I'll have the time to get to all those household projects I put off.

Plus, I've ordered the missing threads and fabric for the three new projects, and I hope to have time next weekend to get them ready to start Jan 1. Between winding bobbins, scrolling the fabric, and adding grid lines, that it itself could take an entire day. So here we go with the final week of 2015!
