IT'S DONE!!!

I decided last night that I've had enough of making myself sick over Disneyland and today would be the day I would make a decision. I woke up with a definite plan to add the extra day, cost be damned. I starting scouring Flickr again this morning looking at pictures of both the Grand Californian and the Disneyland Hotel, still wavering between the two and trying to convince myself that the Disneyland would be better financially, but still loving the look of the Grand better. Thanks to everyone for your help and suggestions! I did seriously debate off-site hotels, and I know it's not as much a part of the Disneyland culture as it is the Disney World, but I just couldn't get my head around not staying at a Disney resort. Besides, having that extra inclusivity (is that a word?) of being 100% Disney immersed will take a bit of the pressure off of Asper me in strange surroundings. GCH is enough like Wilderness Lodge, I should feel right at home!

I decided to take a break from hotel viewing for a while and went to check airfare where, much to my surprise, the price had gone down significantly! My Skymiles took an even bigger chunk out of the bill and even after adding the better seating option, it was still cheap enough to make up for at least half of the extra expense of the Grand Cali so, once the airfare was booked, back to the Disneyland site and went and officially booked our trip with the extra day for the GCH!! I even went ahead and booked that L.A./Hollywood/O.C. Beach tour as part of the package! The airfare is paid for now, but I have until September to pay off the Disneyland trip, so I'll just worry about the extra expense later. I still have to book a car service and get Halloween Party tickets, but again...later.

How the changes in Delta's seating options in March will affect our booking, I don't know since I sprang for the Economy Comfort. Booking this early, I'm pretty much guaranteed the flights will change fifteen billion times anyway, but at least we're in the mix and as of now, we have non-stop flights both ways.

Now I can focus on more important things, like sorting out days and restaurants and memorizing park maps and airport maps and...well, lots to do!!!

WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!!
