Rough week

Well, I'd like to show a ton of stitch work, but there just isn't that much to show. I.T. isn't always a 9 to 5 job and this week was one of those prime examples of the crappy hours I'm sometimes required to keep (at salary, no less). Needless to say, I did manage a chunk of work on Tartan B simply because I could do it during those late work nights while systems were doing their thing and I couldn't do anything but watch them.

I've also reached that critical point with this one...do I continue on or do I restart it? I've got the plan to turn this into a pillow eventually and I just don't think that this thin material will work well in pillow capacity. I could finish this one and do something else with it and do another one for a pillow, but if I had a dime for every single time I said I'd "redo" a project for one reason or another and never did, well I wouldn't be in debt.

Pea suffered though and I only managed two days worth of work on her, Friday:
pea170

And Sunday:
pea171

Saturday was out because it was our office Christmas party. A fortune spent on a dress that I was melted and poured into, but it was one that I couldn't have worn before, so why not? And an entire day of primping just for three hours of socializing with people I see every single day, but hey, that's what god made alcohol for (although it still wasn't enough to get me up to sing karaoke...although I may have sung along rather loudly once or twice). In the end, I can honestly say I had a good time and that's all that's important. It's the only time of year that I do get out, so I might as well enjoy myself, right? Well, enjoy myself I did!

Hopefully this will be a better stitch week. I need one or two if I'm going to finish Pea before the end of the year and one or two is just about all I have left!

Sorry to hear about the rough week, and I hope the next few are better for you. With Tartan B, could you back it with fusible interface or something to make it thick enough for a pillow? I often do that anyway to make sure no stuffing peeks out. Good luck with the difficult decision of deciding to restart or not. I always leave those until it's ridiculously too late.

Glad to hear you had fun at the party! I know how you feel about work I work at a theme park and have to work most holidays and my schedule is never the same. Pea is looking great!
