May IHSW

Why is it that the Hermit and Stitch Weekends are the fastest passing weekends ever? I managed to complete my goal of finishing row one of Lilac, but I barely got started on row 2. I can't believe I'm actually going to say this, but my heart wanted to be working on Disney pics and not stitching! But I stuck to my guns and stitched (all be it rather restlessly) all weekend.

Here is where I started:
ail012

Here's row 1 finished:
ail015

And here is where I made it to last night:
ail016

It's a pain enough stitching white on a white background, but three different colors of white was almost too much. I ended up using both my magnifying light and magnifying glasses just to make sure I didn't miss any holes. As if that didn't slow me down enough, the amount of confetti, especially on the left side of her hair, kind of shocked me, especially for a quick stitch. All this has me severely dreading the next row considering she has even more white in the hair plus there are the wings to think about...more white, more confetti. Plus, I've already frogged so much on this project because, apparently, I can't stitch and talk at the same time during Needle Club, and that has been on blocks of the same color. God help me when I get to a confetti area at work! I may end up breaking down and learning how to park just to make sure I don't keep goofing up.

Wonderful progress Keebles. It still amazes me at how much you can get stitched. I love it.

I've been working on one recently which is shades of white on white and I was losing the will to live by the end of it!
I'm massively impressed by your progress though, she's looking fantastic.
I know what you mean about stitching days, they whistle past. I signed up this month but worked all weekend, so my progress is pitiful

Wow! Your Angel in Lilac is gorgeous! Good luck on the white on white confetti. Ugh.
