I stitched!

Yes! After two long months (or maybe more) of not touching the "secret" project, I worked on it this weekend during the International Hermit And Stitch Weekend. Since it's "secret", I can't show the results, but I am very close to being finished. I really only have the background and the outlining to do. It was really hard to get into it at first, but, once I got the momentum going, no worries.

Hope everyone else got a ton of stitching done and hopefully I will have time sometime tonight to see everyone's progress!

Oh, and I'm also testing out a new diet that's working so well, it's kind of scary! I'm a bit leery to talk about it just yet...I want to see how things go before I start talking about it.

Still out of pocket

I haven't dropped off the face of the planet (although for a few days lately, I kind of which I would have). I've been living with the worst headache imaginable for the past 18 days. But yesterday I got a super-strong cocktail from the doc and, although my head still hurts, I'm on the mend. I'm beginning to think that Ferg-id (my beloved meningioma) is growing again.

But life has also been bueno boring lately and I've just had nothing to post! No cute puppy stories (other than an emergency visit to the vet for Bam that was me overreacting - which cost me $290, but I digress), no stitching progress, no work virus horrors, no Disney planning progress, nada. I haven't even been reading everyone else's blogs. Lord help me when I ever do decide to get caught up! A boring life is a safe life however, so I won't complain about it!

Geez!

I can't believe it's been so long since I posted! But honestly, I've really got nothing to report. I'm not stitching, Disney planning is in wait mode, work is breaking my hump...all I seem to want to do is come home and veg. I do feel the stitching bug starting to stir, but no real desire as of yet. I think we all have a moratorium after the finish of a big project though, right? Or is that just me? I have another day off coming soon, let's just hope I remember to stay home that day and hopefully get some stitching done!

I did get Mark Owen's new album, and although I have played it a couple of times, I'm not comfortable in giving a full review just yet. First impressions...I like Mark better when he was in a "bad way". I much prefer his songs about the world ending or lost loves or even hate. There was passion behind those with a bit of a rock edge. These songs are too upbeat and happy and pop-y, definitely not the Mark we all know and love!

Everyone have a great holiday and hopefully I will see you on the other side!
