"U" - A to Z Challenge - Walt Disney World

"U" is gonna be short, as will be the rest of the alphabet.

First up - United Kingdom in Epcot! Most of you guys know I'm a total Anglophile, so my love of this pavilion is not surprising! It has some amazing shops and an English pub called the Rose and Crown that has excellent Fish and Chips! It's the home of my beloved Tea Caddy as well as a store that carries actual licensed Premiere League merchandise! They used to just carry Chelsea's stuff because the team is partnered with Disney's Wide World Of Sports, but now they also carry Manchester United...my team (and the team that brought us the gorgeous wonder that is David Beckham!). I just wish it wasn't so expensive!

Pics? Yep, I think so!

Secondly, and lastly, we have the Universe Of Energy, also in Epcot, but in Future World instead of World Showcase. It's a long ride, almost an hour, but with a hilarious pre-show and voiceovers by Ellen Degeneres and Bill Nye The Science Guy, it makes the time fly by! See, Ellen falls asleep watching Jeopardy, her favorite show, and is instantly transported inside the game with her college nemesis (which happens to be Jamie Lee Curtis) and Albert Einstein. She's preforming badly since her knowledge of Energy, the current category, is nill, so she asks her neighbor, Bill Nye The Science Guy, to help her learn about energy. They take a trip back in time, to the beginning of it actually, and Ellen learns all she needs to know to win the game! Yes, the ride is dated, but humor never is and this is filled with it! It's also another great way to get out of the rain for an hour or cool off in the heat!

The pre-show is hilarious, so that's the best video clip to show you:

And that's it for "U"!

Wow... that food looks delicious! Never been to Disney, not really had the urge ( or the money), but it does look pretty amazing.

Many thanks for joining me at the hearth - I hope you find something of interest there :)
