"O" - A to Z Challenge - Walt Disney World

What wonders does "O" contain in WDW? Music and lights! So let's get started!

Off-Kilter - As many of you know, I'm of Scottish descent, so what better appeal that a band dressed in kilts singing classic Celtic tunes as well as rock hits and their own tunes! Located between Canada and the UK, they have their own little stage they are so popular (unlike all the other Disney acts that come and go) and you can also buy their CD's at one of the Canadian kiosks!

You don't have to go to Disney World to enjoy them though...here is the link to their website and you can buy their CD's directly from them!

My favorite Off-Kilter song - give them a minute to get rocking with it:

Next up, the Osborne Lights in the Streets of America in Disney's Hollywood Studios - They start putting these puppies up in Sept/Oct, so I can literally count on one hand how many times we've actually seen this section of DHS without them, but they don't get turned on until Christmas time.  Donated from Jennings Osborne, a lawyer from my home state of Arkansas, who used to have them up on his house, but, after numerous lawsuits from his neighbors because of the heavy traffic they produced, was forced to take them down.  They are pretty much the same displays he kept around his house.  Mr. Osborne has passed now, but the tradition of the Osborne Lights is alive and well!  They have since changed them all to LED's and added music synchronization, but it only enhanced the display.  It also snows during the lights (ONLY DON'T TRY TO EAT THE SNOW - IT'S SOAP!  I wish I had a dime for everytime I saw someone stick out their tongue to catch one!).

Without further ado:

And that's it for "O"!

I'm reading your A-Z challenge a year late, but I just had to comment on this one! I used to live in Arkansas and drove by the Osborne house everyday. He also decorated it for other holidays and his daughter's birthdays, too. How great that he his light show lives on!
